While I've been practicing with the chopsticks for our upcoming jaunt to the land of the rising sun, I hadn't considered the fact that those travelling the other way may have the same issues with our knives and forks. Luckily we hadn't put together anything that couldn't be sliced then scooped on to a fork. I rather think that we will fair less well over there.
