2020 Thursday — The Former Owner

The 8-year anniversary of purchasing our coast home is just a couple weeks away. So midday today I heard voices on our south stairs; the stairs that lead to the backyard.

When Mr. Fun went out the back door and toward the stairs, he said, “Hello!” And asked if he could be of help; then he realized that one of the ladies was “Nancy” from down the street. Nancy and her husband Bill own a vacation home here and live full-time in a suburb of Los Angeles. We’ve known since shortly after we purchased our place that Bill’s sister is Judie, the former owner of our place.

Well, standing there with Nancy was Bill’s sister Judie. Judie and her hubby Bob still own the vacant lot next door and the two ladies were trying to see the vacant lot.

So, it seems like all of a sudden, we were carrying on a conversation with one of the people we bought this house from. We have many, many times wished we could meet the former owners. We were delighted today to meet Judie. We invited her in to see what we had done during the “improvement construction” five years ago. She was very complimentary.

Judie said she’d like to bring her husband tomorrow to see the place and we said we’d love to meet him and give him the ten cent tours.
