A bend in the river

We spent the morning in Kinchega National Park, established from sheep farming in 1967. We did a lovely non strenuous 2.3 km walk starting at an old homestead, now a ruin, but still functional up to around 1950. The photo is a view from the walk of the meandering Darling River and one of its typical curvy bends. Not an engine to be heard, just the sound of birds.

Then we drove over to the old shearing shed, still in good condition, as though everyone just picked up and left. This evening we did a two hour cruise on one of the Menindee Lakes, rich with bird life, and were treated to a golden sunset.

I'll be making a Flickr album of Our Trip on return and will share the link on the bliposphere.

Stay well all.
