New State of Alarm day 12.
Took delivery of a "faunarium", which is simply a clear plastic box with a lid, and some tortoise-friendly substrate, and transferred the now six babies to it from the cat-litter box and straw they were living in before. I also brought it into the house so it will be a bit warmer for them as the weather cools. Some may think I should have just left them outside to take their chances as wild creatures, but the garden is mainly gravel and wild areas are perhaps a bit too wild. If they survive the Winter I'll release them to join their parents outside.
It was a good calming exercise to take my mind off the endless voting counts and associated nastiness.
