Lockdown 2.oh!

Day 2.

X-rays have confirmed I have a tib/fib fracture. But of course, this is me, so there’s always a drama.
When the consultant came to see me, he said it’s like a ‘jigsaw’ with all the fragments in there.
Surgery is necessary but due to the amount of swelling, they couldn’t do that today.
So they’ve opted to insert some rods and pins as a temporary measure to hold things in place and are going to refer me to Liverpool for reconstructive surgery; whenever they can fit me in.

I’m booked to have a CT scan in the morning which will give them a better view of the pieces of the puzzle.

Bizarrely, I’m still not in any pain; I’m holding off painkillers until I really need them.

I also need to see the physio to discuss my mobility so fingers crossed once that’s done, I can go home. :-)
