Another productive day at work with various projects moving forward.

I wonder how much more productive I may have been without the continuing refreshing of news outlet pages, but somehow I suspect I am not alone in this!

It has been nice to have something else to worry about though, particularly when those worries concern an unhinged person occupying the role of “most powerful person on the planet”. With the election going on over the side of the pond and not directly affecting our own day to day existence, some may find this a silly thing to worry about, but as the old comic adage goes “with great power comes great responsibility”. Whilst the incumbent President has enjoyed the former, he has had no regard for the latter and his malevolent influence has been allowed to seep out unchecked, creating nothing but division – I would refer you to the rebuilding and additional construction of his beloved wall.    

However, maybe the annus horribilis that was 2016 is undergoing something of a course correction? 

Remember 2016? That year when celebrities were cautiously looking over their shoulder as the Grim Reaper swung his scythe about him with reckless abandon. That same year when the UK whipped out a political shotgun and proceeded to blow a massive hole in its own stupid foot as it divorced itself from the EU, only for America to look on before asking the world to hold its beer as it elected a moronic sociopath to its most powerful office. Yeah, THAT 2016.

Whilst we definitely can’t bring back Bowie and Brexit sadly appears to be irreversible, it does look increasingly like the reign of the wotsip-dipped w*nk*r may shortly be coming to an end.

Oh well….one out of three ain’t bad.
