Cranes

After another day of cycling I can happily say that I would only have to cover 800 kilometres to reach 5000 like I cycled last year. Hip Hip Hooray! Whether I will succeed is another story.

On the Karstraat, the birds papparrazi with gigantic lenses was ready to take the most beautiful photo of the thousands of cranes that were on their way south from north east Germany. We were tempted to stay and wait for their fly over, but we were cold and had already made a long tour.

At home we drank a cup-a-soup, ate a slice of cake and went by car right after that to the top of the hill from where we had a wide view of the northeast. The sun was setting beautifully behind our backs and yes, we were in time to see the cranes.
