Cone

It's been a day like may others, nothing very exciting, nothing very boring. Some washing got done, some cleaning, some rehearsing of music, some recoding of a guitar part, some shopping, some cooking, some coffee breaks and so on. 

While it was still light I had a look at the neglected garden which once was very organised and pretty but now is left unattended, I just cut the grass. There are still quite a few trees carrying fruit like apples, pears, plums and cherries. The trees are getting very old, some of them, full of holes and dead branches. In a hole in one of them I found this spruce cone neatly placed. I'm sure I didn't put it there and the spruce is growing some fifteen metres away. Could it be a winter supply put there by some bird or squirrel? Does anyone know of this behaviour?

The American election has, at the moment, stated that the democratic party has one. Republicans claim the opposite and says the whole election has been rigged. We will see a lot of hatred and legal actions for a long while but personally I think this is the day when hope has entered again in most people. Maybe we can start working together towards common goals instead of putting up barriers against other groups, creating more hate and hopelessness.
 Wouldn't it be nice if Economy was just another word, equal to Peace, Environment and Health.
