'Lest We Forget'

Another rather dull miserable day but on my way up Buchanan Street to church I made a slight detour and walked into George Square to visit Glasgow's Garden of Remembrance. 

To get the best view the soldiers need to be photographed from behind  ..... taken from the front there is a huge council bin in the background.

I met a family who were planting the cross at the front of the Royal Engineers Insignia. The dad had lost his friend in Afghanistan and he himself had served in Iraq. His little boy was dressed in full camouflage gear.
