remembrance sunday

thinking of:  D.A.D.(who was lost at sea in WWI), B.T.D. (who fought in the trenches WWI, wounded and returned for more of the same), & DBDD (who took part in the D Day landings & was wounded several times).  the two that didn't die both had PTSD, yet still went on to do good things with TOCH and other charitable works.

i hope that we learn from the terrors of war - and that in time it will be a prerequisite that any leader declaring war has to send their own sons & daughters into the front line to truly share the consequences of the damage done to families.
