Remembrance

No poppies on hand today - this year we’ve donated to the British Legion online.

Some time in our garden this afternoon - until it started raining. I picked up a few fallen leaves below our Japanese Maple. As this is the 75th anniversary of the end of the Second World War, and VJ Day after the dropping of the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, maybe these leaves are appropriate. After all, remembrance is also about reconciliation.

Very happy about the outcome of the US election, although Joe Biden has a lot to do, and Trump has two months to cause a lot of mayhem. Grace is a word he doesn’t know.
