mama's cakeday

today, MAMA turned 82.

we (my sister and i) visited her in her senior residence. since she forgets almost everything that hasn't happened before 1950, she had also forgotten about her birthday and was most astonished when we turned up with a birthday-cake.

we gave her a picture of herself at age 1 (more or less), but even if this is definitely earlier than 1950 ( ;)) she didn't recognize herself on it. but we ended up having a lovely time together!
