Cumbria Here I Come

By marpaul

Oh what a lovely dull dismal wet and dark day.  So glad I made the most of yesterday.  Walked somewhere I haven't been for a while.  Campfield Marsh   just beyond Bowness on Solway.  I'd heard about some awful electric fencing the RSPB had put around the site and wow it really is awful... all 5.5km of it!  Its about 8ft in height.  It was very strange walking alongside it.  I did feel sorry for a bird watcher walking behind me with lots of heavy gear as the hide was closed because of Covid!  Its quite a way from the car park to the main hide.  Anyhow we had quite a good walk and I always like the bleakness of what I've blipped.
