Remembrance

My Grandfather's medals from the Second World War and subsequent service.

SQMS in the 40th Royal Tank Regiment, 
he served as a Tank Commander in North Africa, most notably in El Alamein as well as in the Italian Campaign.

He was my childhood hero and I would take great pride watching him march through the streets on Remembrance Sunday before joining him in the Sergeant's mess at the local barracks.

Laid to rest appropriately on the 11th November 2008.
