Cymbals of Appreciation

Today was a pretty misty day here in the Midlands, but much nicer in Scotland. Barney is having a bit of time off. He’s being looked after by one of the 5000+ followers ( I’m calling us The Barney Army! ) whilst Barry and Andrew do the next leg on foot. They made good time, so had settled in to their accommodation by the time the beer tasting session started.

Yes, tonight was round two of ‘ Back To The Cask’, a play on words of a Massive Wagons song - Back To The Stack, a song about Rick Parfitt of Status Quo “ Raise your glass to Rick cos I’m raising mine “.

The beers are announced well in advance for us to hunt them down and we then participate in an online tasting session with marks given for various categories.

Good fun and a nice way to interact with the band.

Oh and I nominated Barry, Barney and Andrew for a Cymbals of Appreciation shout out on Planet Rock and they got picked! ( The mid morning DJ is also a drummer in a band so he gives a shout out and bashes out a song on the drums every week day ). He mis-read my email and called Barney a bike so I had to dash off a quick email to correct him. He was pretty taken aback to hear Barney is actually a horse not a bike!
