Generosity

Dear Walter, a most gracious and good-hearted neighbor, leaves his gates latched but not locked (like beloved Scotland).  We (his neighbors) are free to help ourselves to his figs and pomegranates.  This is my fourth harvest (each one giving me a dozen or more fruit).

I cannot keep up with the bounty!  I also cannot fathom leaving so much fruit unpicked? I think it must be that people don't like to clean them, so they avoid what is truly a precious gift from the Garden.
