Today was one of those late winter /early spring days that almost seems like midsummer - the sun shining in a clear blue sky and a sense of wellbeing all around.

It was my good fortune to be out and about today, taking a couple of colleagues - one of whom I sadly get to see only rarely - on an enjoyable 'adventure' to and from Elgin in connection with my work.

This near-perfect day ended with a near-perfect sunset, seen here looking upstream from the bridge over the River Don at Montgarrie.
