Sunset from Nicky Nook

Despite having already cycled 24 miles earlier i decided to have a wander up Nicky Nook wearing my dust covered Fell Running shoes. I felt like a bag of spanners going up, marginally better on the flattish terrain ok but incredibly slow descending. If there had been a policeman around i would have been cautioned for impersonating a runner. Very enjoyable nonetheless.

This cairn was built in 1887 for Queen Vic's Golden jubilee. It was repaired for the present Queen's Silver Jubilee in 1977 and rededicated for her Golden in 2002.
