Ubiquitous image

I took this photo by accident today when I was needing to use a QR (Quick Response) code. It set me wondering about how long they have been around. I was surprised to see that they were invented 26 years ago for the automotive industry in Japan.The inventor was Masahiro Hara. How surprised he must be to see how ubiquitous QR codes have become.
