Brand New Start

Metaphorically and literally.  As our site caretakers continue to slowly empty the pool, no water is wasted, whether to water the garden or wash Graham's car - and this afternoon several rugs, (including mine, pictured) were scrubbed and restored to their original bright, clean colours ready for warm cosy winter. An activity that entertained all, including the local felines who enjoyed getting in to the pool.

A beautifully warm sunny day that started late with a trip in to Didim to buy home baked goods from Denise's Sunday winter stall, and brunch at My Bar. A supermarket stop still got us home in time for me to watch the Remembrance Sunday service on BBC1 -  a very poignant affair this year in covid conditions, and somehow all the more moving for that.  An evening of investment cooking, (making a nut roast big enough to last a few days) with Netflix for entertainment and FB for updates and comment as we recognize and remember what it was, and will be like again, for the new New World to have leadership with integrity.
