Red Squirrel

Red squirrels are one of Scotland’s most loved wildlife species as  they are our only native squirrel. The greatest threat to their future is the invasive non-native grey squirrel. Larger and more robust, grey squirrels out-compete the little red fellows. This one was foraging at the RSPB Wildlife Centre in Perthshire where there are feeding boxes specially to attract them.
