Kestrel

A very misty and murky start to the week here which made for a  fun trip to RHS Hyde Hall for  our weekly walk! I have to admit to enjoying it being less full than through the summer! But we did bump into friends that we used to see over there on a Sunday - back in the old days of the world when you could go anywhere you wanted, when you wanted! - so it was nice to catch up with them and see how they were doing.

Lots of wildlife about today and was fascinated watching this kestrel swoop onto the fields and fly off with a mouse or vole.  What wasn't so pleasant to watch was a mum and grandma and small child chasing after a single swan that was by the lake.....shame it didn't turn round and attack them all!! Then another family lined up to feed the swan their packet of crisps.....i do despair!
