Poppies

Over the past few days, Denny town centre has been transformed by hundreds of hand-made poppies being displayed on railings in various locations. There's a display, naturally enough, at the War Memorial and others at Dunipace Parish Church, Westpark Parish Church and here at Denny Old Parish Church.

There's a Remembrance display of another kind on the railings outside Denny Primary School (see extra) - this time of childrens' artwork.

We may not have been able to gather to pay our respects as in previous years, but these displays have demonstrated a community coming together to remember in another way.
