Great Grey Owl
Today we took the kids to Paradise Park - a small park of birds and other animals in Cornwall. Not a bad price to get in and there is a children's play area with GREAT slides for the grownups (and of course tea, coffee and hot chocolate).
Again it was sunny but really cold. I could not decide which camera setup to take - BIG DSLR which bashes the children's heads when you walk past them, or V1, a smaller affair which is more convenient but its not a DSLR. LSW (long suffering wife) would have chosen the latter, so I went for both! Good job too as, when I saw the birds, they were all behind wire fencing - too small for a large lens to penetrate even with close up. The V1 lens was small enough however to sneak between the holes and capture an unobtruded view of this great grey owl. I waited as long as I dare before family duties called and managed an eyes half open picture.
