First Strokes

We took advantage of a free family skate at the local recreation centre to allow C the chance to try out his new skates. It was much harder than he expected, but he did very well for his first time. R was very patient in helping him, as was my father (in the yellow jacket standing behind them). My Dad was an excellent varsity hockey player and continued to play the game up until shortly before R was born, so it was a big help having him with us to help with a little skater.
