Cacti

The owner of one restaurant we eat in has a display of cacti. She also has frangipanis, neither of these need much water, however, her over enthusiastic staff tend to water everthing.  One poor frangipani just about died from over watering. 

As we were leaving the restaurant the owner presented us with a bunch of bananas from her mother's garden. See my extra.  She also gave a bunch to the other customer who was there.  The strange thing is that the other customer also lives at our condo complex, so we know each other.  

Despite a few peaceful  protest rallies in Bangkok and Phuket, ChiangMai remains peaceful and very quiet.
