Lockdown 2.3 - Purple Sunrise
I decided to push myself out the door early this morning and walk around the park while it was still quiet. I like doing this on weekends as there’s less traffic around. Not that the traffic is normally awful, but it is noticeably quieter without the commuter noise.
It was a gorgeous sunrise! And it always feels good to get out early, though I usually have to give myself a lecture to do it.
The (new) electrician came early today to finish the job started yesterday. He was here 6 hours! The original electrician sent his colleague (armed with instructions and diagrams), instead of finishing it himself, obviously because he was on another job. I wasn’t sure about that arrangement and sure enough - the first one had to come back to explain it all in person. But the problem got fixed and I had a couple of extra lights replaced, nothing to do with this job. So all in all it was a productive time and all is safe. I hope I don’t faint when the bill arrives!
I don’t think I ever totally relax when people are working in my house and I’m not good about focusing on other jobs. I pottered around when he was here and got trivial little things done. I was exhausted when he left in the afternoon and actually fell asleep on the sofa. After that I met up with a friend for a walk before dark and I surprised her with a flask of tea and some cake. Autumn/Winter picnics are THE thing to do right now during this lockdown since this time we are able to meet one other person outdoors in a public place. It’s a great way to exercise and socialise (safely) at the same time! I just hope the weather doesn’t become too wet or cold over the next 3-4 weeks.
