Keeping Thier Heads Down

Another grey and misty start. There has been much confusion and upset with the Swan on the canal this year. We have believed of late that the dominant pair (that started with 9 cygnets)  had lost most of the clutch during territorial disputes, had driven off the remaining three to fend for themselves. Two grumpier than normal have been appearing in random places, these are they above!  Within half a mile of taking the above , I spied through the hedge in a large flash in the field but two adult swans and three cygnets!!! So think the above are the interlopers, one of the downsides to year on year breeding successes is overcrowding .
At home we are gardening again and sadly having very slow broadband, which is very frustrating, todays test figures 1.2 and 5.3 woefully short of the promised 33!
