Sprout Harvest

It was a beautiful day today and the sprout harvester was out. Having moved to the country when the fields were fallow, watched them plant the sprouts as plugs, speculated about exactly what vegetable had been planted (my money was on cabbages for months!), pondered in December and January when exactly they would be lifted to seeing them harvested in the last few days - I feel we have completed one cycle in our new location. And it looks like hard, cold work - each of those vehicles has people on it cutting them by hand.
