of a northern flicker - caught in odd lighting - so i faffed it up a bit - why not, right? - i figured i’d make it stark - a real contrast - deciding i sort of like it

i tend to struggle with - capturing birds whether they’re - flying, on the ground - in trees, on branches or feeders - it just doesn’t matter - i seem to be challenged - so i have been - trying to practice this week - while the weather has been - relatively fair, to get out - and search for those - i haven’t photographed - in a while - geese, ducks, gulls - all at locations nearby - before it gets too cold - for me to venture out - finding this flicker was - a real treat which made it...
