Through the Glass ... Darkly!

I started out to take a blip
of a glass upon the shelf
and then I saw the 'alien'
looking right back at myself.

He didn't speak ... he stared me out
... what had I just created?
But a little whisky in the glass
... and we were 'alien'-ated!

Can you see 'him'?
Or have I over-imbibed?
