Half Moon
Left work this evening and noticed that Jupiter was in a great position beside the moon to attempt to get them both in one shot. By the time I got home, grabbed my kit and headed out, it was full dark and the sky looked beautiful.
Set my camera up in Holyrood Park and pointed it skywards. At 300mm, I couldn't get both the moon and Jupiter in frame at the same time. Zoomed out a bit and just managed to squeeze them both in. I had to use slower shutter speed and larger aperture so I lost definition on the surface of the moon, but if I hadn't Jupiter would not have been visible.
After I got home and downloaded all my shots, I decided against posting the intended image. With the moon on the left and the tiny speck of Jupiter way on the right, it just wasn't as good as I wanted. You can view the full size image here if you're interested.
So, it's another shot of the moon instead. You can view it large here.
