Relaxing outside William Murdoch's house

I was walking my dog up one of the back streets of Redruth and passed Murdoch's House.

William Murdoch was one of the fathers of the steam engine and also the first person, so I'm told, to use gas to light a domestic home in the 1700s.

This man is sitting just outside Murdoch's old house and this picture of him has a timeless feel I felt suited the place.
