Poignant

We went for a longish (by our standards) walk today, walking around the village, pausing at the church at Bramshott.  I spotted this beautiful little memento among the wreaths.  There were no clues as to who this was, although I suspect it is more likely that he was a casualty in the Second World war rather than the First one.  

The futility of war.  It never ceases to amaze me that people (governments) can be so unbelievably stupid.  Rest in Peace Great Uncle Robert
