Insects

Conservationist programmes on TV tend to concentrate on anything cute and cuddly however the dramatic reduction in the number of insects is very concerning.
The obvious target is the use of pesticides and this is certainly important but it is an easy target and a lazy way of passing the buck.Air pollution from cars and particularly aircraft is thought to be a more important factor but we all like to fly and explore far flung places.I wonder what world air quality is  now we have far less aircraft in the sky.

This is a little insect house we have in the garden.If you look closely you can see how leaves have been used in the hollow canes.I am pleased how it has worked and will certainly be putting more of them up.

Finished watching Queens Gambit this evening on Netflix.If you have Netflix it is well worth watching. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
