Wide Wednesday: Light/Shadow

What a day for Bobsblips to choose the Widwed theme of "Light/Shadow". There's been heavy featureless cloud all day with absolutely no outdoor shadows at all!

Cue the making of an indoor shadow. I reckoned our kitchen scales would cast an interesting shadow, and I wanted to try out my new flashgun (lucky me) in off-camera mode to learn how to do it. So now I know...until I forget again, that is...  :-))

And for those "Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy" fans who've asked to see my recent creation, I'll add it as an extra. I think I've just about finished it although I'll probably do a few more tweaks before it's due in next Tuesday for our next camera club competition. The topic is "Surrealism" so I decided to combine 2 surrealistic stories - the Hitchhikers' Guide and Alice in Wonderland. I'm tossing up the exact title - maybe "Hitchhikers head into Wonderland" or something like that. Needless to say I've wasted far too much enjoyed spending lots of time on it! The "rabbit hole" was actually the inside of our vacuum cleaner hose - well we blippers have to improvise , don't we? (If you don't know the Hitchhikers stories, you're missing a treat - and I'm sorry you won't understand this creation.)
