Charlecote Park
We had an early(ish) booking at the National Trust property, Charlecote Park. The car park was pretty full, I'm not sure if the booking system, restricting numbers, is working very well. Anyway we had a nice walk past the church and towards the lake then back to the house. Because of the lockdown all the tables and benches by the Wood Yard cafe have been moved as only takeaway drinks are allowed. This seems a bit petty, they could have prevented people drinking in the cafe whilst leaving outside seating in place. Still we found a fence to lounge against whilst we had our coffee and peppermint tea.
The day has been dry, but very dull, not ideal for photography, still I did manage some, including this one. I would have entered this for Wide Wednesday hosted by BobsBlips but it doesn't fit the theme.....not that there was much/any light and shadows! (I may submit it anyway).
This evening we tuned into a Royal Shakespeare zoom broadcast "Exploring the Archive of John Barton". A very interesting discussion on this great RSC director.
