Armistice Day.

I always feel it's one of the privileges of being a teacher that I can teach my class about Remembrance Day and the meaning behind it. My Year One's completed the two minutes silence and then we listened to The Last Post. They loved guessing the instrument it was played on and hearing a little bit of history about it.

This afternoon, in art, they made their own collage poppies using tissue paper. :-) It's great to think they now have some idea why they were buying poppy wristbands and pin badges last week!
