He died on this day 38 years ago. He survived the war but his younger brother Teddy didn't - he died on HMS Warwick when it was torpedoed. He had only been married 3 months.
War is a terrible thing.
We will always remember them.

I spent the day sewing Poppy's quilt and listening to Radio 4. Frank had gone back to the house to do some jobs and hand in our prescriptions.

Little Lucy's Birthday tomorrow. She'll be 5. We'll no doubt be sent videos of her opening her presents :-)
Sabrina said she is really excited and she heard her singing to herself in her bed this morning ' Happy Birthday to me ...'
