extravagance

It's not me to be extravagant. With trips & holidays, but not cars or restaurants or wine. Not clothes either. Certainly not with cameras!

I was caught out in Paris last week. D wanted to find a place where she could taste Armagnac or Calvados before buying. Dégustation, as they say in those parts.

Easy if you're in Pont L'Evêque or Condom. Not so in the big city.

I found one. Rue du Bac, just off the Boulevard St Germain. I got caught up in the buzz, and bought some too.
