It's amazing how changes in the light (in this case a lifting mist) changes the environment and mood so completely. Walking through woods both Sharon and I know very well near Callander, there was an eerie silence as we came out of a heavily forested area into this clearing. A tree we never looked at twice before suddenly becomes a focal point. The lack of any sound; the cold of the mist on your face and no matter how much you tell yourself it is irrational you cant help but quickly glance over your shoulder, scanning the area for unexpected (and furtive) movements..........
