ABSTRACT THURSDAY - SHAPES
Sometimes a subject comes quickly to mind but at other it takes a bit longer to sort out something - and today was that day. I thought originally that the subject for today’s challenge was “Patterns” so took what I thought was a reasonable shot, only to find that the subject was “Shapes”, so I had to get my brain into gear and think of something else.
These shapes are in a wallet of Post-it Notes that I have - given to me sometime ago by my lovely neighbour, Lynn and I thought they fitted the challenge very well.
My hand is still very sore, but I am glad to say that as I haven’t been doing much typing, it doesn’t ache at the end of the day as it used to - so I am trying to be sensible and cut down on the typing. However, that didn’t stop me from “playing” with my new toy - my Christmas present from my husband - an Apple pencil. I have been thinking of getting one for sometime, but then had some vouchers from John Lewis and a gift card, so it seemed a good idea to use them towards this. It arrived yesterday and I have now found a way to put my signature on my photographs, so I am, as they say, well chuffed.
Thank you to everyone who has left lovely comments, given me stars and hearts in the last few days, especially for yesterday’s Blip, which is on Page 2 of the Popular page. I have been sprinkling stars and hearts around, but no comments, I’m afraid, so please forgive me for the moment.
Reasons to be joyful today:
§ Seeing the sun and being able to enjoy reading in our conservatory
§ Having a kind and thoughtful husband (and not just because of the Apple pencil!)
§ Enjoying listening to the radio - and being thankful that I can hear
“He who cannot shape himself first
can never shape the world!”
