Undercliffe Cemetery
Joanne sent me a text yesterday evening asking if I'd like to go with her for a visit to Undercliffe - and I did. If you like cemeteries and Victorian architecture then this is the place to be.
We only spent a good hour there but we both found it fascinating. As you walk round each avenue and pathway they seem to lead to yet bigger and grander memorials. Much of the opulence of the mausoleums is testament to the Bradford wool trade which in it's time produced many wool barons and millionaires, ( in today's money I suppose that would be billionaires ) :-). No doubt I'll go back again as I have yet to blip the memorial with two life size sphinx guarding the entrance. - a favourite of mine. :-). Interestingly many of the graves had QR codes which meant you could immediately go online and read a mini bio of the occupants.
