Twirly?

I went out today to a woodland I always visit at this time of year to search for one of my favourite fungi - the Herald of Winter, but there were none to be found. In fact there were very few of any types of fungi. This Yellow Brain, which  is often found on gorse stems  is actually parasitic on a crust fungus.
Mr PB spotted an adult Hawthorne Shield Bug on our gate earlier, so that is going into extras
