Mama Monica

Since accepting the job yesterday I have been working all day to finish my paperwork and fill out all forms and sign statements and accept regulations and yadda yadda yadda! This has taken me till now... 3am!

But I am really glad that all this work has kept me awake because I just got skyped in by Miss Martha, Frank, and Matthews! It was sooooogood to see them. They filled me in on Zambia and how things are going. They told me about some of the new changes and new positions they have taken on. They looked SO HAPPY!

Once word got out that I was on Skype I was greeted by Lizzy, Becky, Lilly, Mary, other teachers and then.... Mama Monica! We exchanged a hello in Bemba and then English. She sat down and asked me a few questions and then simply sat. Placed herself in front of the camera and starred at me with a smile. We shared a little moment of silence, pretty much because neither of us really knew what to say and because our language to each other is not that great but IT WAS great! She just smiled and smiled!

I'm so glad that I was able to be awake and talk to these guys! I have missed them a lot and it made my night... And my day tomorrow... Well, today! ;)
