Rainy Day
We had almost forgotten how wet Springer spaniels get when it rains. Our first dog, Emma, was a springer and she could sniff out a mud puddle a quarter mile away. She would lie down in it to cool off (or whatever) and effectively turn into a mud filled sponge!
Spike is still a terror in a lead and we are limiting him to short walks using various restraining devices until he stops dragging us around. He managed to get remarkably wet after a quick break around the paved areas...the rest still being pretty black and ashy...
He and John had to stand in front of the fire to dry themselves off. He obviously got rewarded for something when he sat this way because he does it all the time...he’s even figured out how to move himself forward in his bottom without standing up. And at the other end of the sit/stand spectrum he can almost walk on his hind legs!
The Servepro guys showed up this morning instead of this afternoon,
and have been working for hours on cleaning the garage. They have vacuumed, swept and deodorized the floor and the walls and are now dusting all the plastic containers with things like Christmas ornaments and items we brought from Berkeley and never unpacked from the moving boxes.
I’m sure if we asked them to they would polish the ancestral silver!
The garage is now cleaner than the house!
