Shearing Time

At last the sheep were dry enough to be shorn and the shearer came this afternoon. He shore the ewes, Stanley the ram and his wether companion and crutched the lambs.  Fly strike is always a worry when the weather is warm and damp and sheep are dirty so it's a relief to have a clean flock.
