Friday the 13th, what could go wrong? Well, my bedside lamp for one thing. Emboldened by recent repair successes I tried my best to fix it but no luck (or bad luck), it was done. Checked the model online just in case someone smart had solved a similar problem and discovered that the lamp had been recalled 12 years ago because it could overheat and presumably burn your bedside table to a crisp. Maybe some good luck then?!
A trip to buy a replacement was in order and on the way home passed the Haymarket building site. Someone’s missing a trick here, this could be a bungee jump training ground.
