The One-Way Tree
We picked up a couple of hoagies at Couch's and ate them at nearby Greenwood Furnace State Park. Then we walked along the lake and visited the little cemetery on the other side of the road. The graves were decorated with lots of flags; the veterans here have been well remembered.
The colors are mostly gone from the trees now around the lake. The red berries on some of the bushes are amazing, though. And on the surface of the water, the reflection of trees is like the earth's visible heartbeat.
There is a little bit of yellow left on the trees in the area where we parked, and so here is a photo of a favorite tree there. A sign in front of it says One Way (as the road is indeed one way), so I think of it as the one-way tree. I just liked the sound of that. . . .
The soundtrack song for this image is Blondie, with One Way or Another.
