NEVER-ENDING SUMMER
There's usually a corner of my tiny front garden that forgets the seasons. This clematis is nestling under a rose that's laden with hips, the foxglove still has one 'glove' clinging on and there are a couple of flowers on the ceanothus, not to mention verbena and a couple of sunny yellow blooms in the pots. They're all that was sunny and summery today, though. It's a really grey and dismal day, and the front step was as far as I've ventured. I've just clicked the heating back on and am heading to the kitchen for some tea and fruit cake.
